Lesson 1:
Essential information and Skills What are Start Page Programs?

Start Page Programs are a resource that will help you to promote
your web-sites.
The idea is simple.
You view OTHER web-sites, and people get to view YOURS.
Best of all, you can do all of this for FREE.
Every time you view somebody else's web page, you gain a credit.
Let's say you build up 10 credits.
This means that your page will now be shown
ten times to other people.
These programs can bring you many hits.
These hits will NOT all be high quality hits because
many people will just surf past your web sites to
earn hits back to their sites.
But if you keep your site fresh (new contents)
and with good quick-sell "lines"
you WILL attract new audiences to your web sites.
There are always new networkers coming online
(300,000 per Week!)
and they will see your web sites through these start page programs.
Most people will NOT be using the system
You are going to learn here and will actually view your offer.
It is possible to build up massive amounts of credit -
resulting in hundreds, even thousands, of "hits" to your website.
But to do this, you need to know the tricks of the trade!

Two types of Programs:
It is very important to keep in mind the 2 types of start-page programs.
1) Start page programs that change automatically
2) Programs where you must click on a link in order to go
to the next web-site.
These are often called "click-thru" programs.
The Problems:
1) Nobody (or very few) actually looks at web-pages when they
are part of a start-page program that changes automatically.
This means you can have them running for several hours,
build up a mass of credits, your own web-page is
shown many times, but nobody gets to see it because
THEY aren't looking either!
Therefore, the only start-page programs worth
participating in are those that require surfers to
change the pages by clicking a link manually.
(I hope that makes a lot of sense to you)
DON'T promote automatic programs.
It doesn't do ANYBODY any good at all!
Least of all - YOU !
2) The next problem is - If you are going to click each page
manually, it's going to take a long LONG time to build up
credits!
3) And then ... some programs have excellent 1 : 1 or 1 : 2
ratios.
This means every time you view one site (or two sites)
YOURS will get viewed once.
But, some of them have dreadful ratios - like 1 : 5 or even
1 : 6.
And some of them only allow you to build up a maximum of 5
credits a day!
That's absolutely no good if you really want to build up
massive hits!
Are there solutions to these problems?

Essential Skills and Time-Savers
It will be really helpful to create THREE NOTEPAD DOCUMENTS
on your desktop.
All versions of Windows allow you to create a new Notepad Text
(.txt) file.
In case you don't know how ... RIGHT-click on any blank area
of your desktop.
On the menu that pops up, select "New ... Text Document" ...
and a new NotePad text file will appear.
1) Please rename one of them "Startpage URL.txt"
(NOTE: The name must end with ".txt")
2) Please rename the second one "Referral URL.txt"
3) Please rename the third one to "Target URL.txt"
Later on, you will "copy and paste" the Startpage surfing URL's
and the Referral URL's of your start programs into the "Startpage"
and into the"Referral" NotePad files.
Now you need to go and sign up for a Rotator site with unlimited url's
GET MY ROTATOR SITE
(This is the only thing that's going to cost any money but it's
essential as the free one only allows 5 sites and we're going to
need a lot more than that and it is just $10 per month)
[There are other free rotators but I have found they come and go and since your
whole business is going to depend on this you need the best]
Copy your SITE ROTATOR URL to your "Target URL.txt" Notepad document.
The "target" URL is the web page that the Startpage Program
will bring up on screen for others to see.
Of course, if you and they are using "auto-surf" techniques,
your web-page will get a minimum of actual views by real,
live people, and you will have wasted most of your time and effort!
That's why I say again ... always use manual-click or semi-manual
methods - and always teach others to do the same.
(Even so, we can STILL get a 700 - 800% increase in credits
using this lesson!
And yes ... you CAN teach this method to others.)

ANOTHER TIME-SAVING TIP:
When you join the start page programs, you often get the chance
to fill in the Target URL there and then place your rotator url here to save having to go back. (Replace my id with your own id)
This saves you having to go to the web-site later on and do it.
This is where your "Target URL" NotePad document comes in handy.
Simply copy and paste your Target URL website from your NotePad
document into the space provided for your target URL in the
start-page program.
You will notice that all the links have been masked using the
free service
available at FREE MASKING SERVICE Viral Url This is a good idea
as it protects the integrity of the system and its very simple
to do. (You will also find it essential later to protect things
like Clickbank Hoplinks.) Just get your referral link enter it
in the box at Viral url choose a tag in the next box down then
put the program name in the third box and press return then you
have a masking url.

NOTE : Be careful not to have the letters * http:// * twice !
Some start programs already have the * http:// * part there.
Some do not. Make sure, when you copy and paste, that * http:// *
Only appears Once.

After joining each start-page program
(I will start giving you the list of the Top 40 in Part 2)
they will send you a confirmation e-mail.
You MUST keep this e-mail.
Better still, print it out or make a NEW Folder in Your email
program just save your signup info: "StartPrograms"
On that e-mail, you will see the URL needed to log into your
account, you will see your username and password,
you will be given a Startpage (surfing) URL, and finally a
Referral URL.
To save time, please copy and paste the Startpage URL
and the Referral URL into your "Startpage.txt"
and your "Referral URL.txt" documents respectively.
You can do this directly from the e-mail they send you.
[In case you don't know how :Highlight the text and either
press the control (Apple Key on a Mac)and C key together or
go to edit and select copy.
To Paste place the cursor where you want the text to appear
and either press the control (Apple Key on a Mac)and V key
together or go to edit and select Paste.]

Please do NOT mix up your Startpage and Referral URL's.
Yes! I know all of this takes a bit of time and a bit of
concentration.
But it's going to be worth it.
And when you see all your credits building up,
you'll be very glad you took a bit of time up-front
to get your system correctly set up and well-oiled!

The Startpage URL is the one you will copy and paste
into your multi-surf browser (full details in part 2)
You could, of course, type it in, but it's so much quicker to
copy and paste.
This is why I have asked you to create those .txt documents
and have all your URL's pasted into them.
Your Referral URL is the one you will recruit downline members
through by entering it into the site rotator
This is where you are sending all the traffic you are going to
generate.
When you enter the url into the rotator you must set the weighting
in the box to the right of where you place the url to one of
ten options: 10 being the most frequently shown and 1 the least.
When new members sign up under you [[firstname]],
you get a percentage of all the credits THEY earn from surfing!
And when THEY give out THEIR referral URL's YOU get a percentage
of THAT level AS WELL !
And it just keeps on getting better and better ... !
I will show you how you can duplicate this system so that you
can really start to build up a great deal of credits and a
